Lighting trends at CASACOR 2026

In 2021, JACKETit returned to the national stage. Bringing together architects, designers, and design enthusiasts, this is the largest architecture, interior design, and landscape design trade show in the Americas. We present lighting trends and the most impressive case studies from CasaCor 2021 in Brazil!

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul

“This project embodies a completely new lifestyle concept, emphasizing a closer connection with home. These new approaches aim to transform living spaces into more human environments, incorporating emotional memories and stories. In this room, elegant modern elements create a sophisticated yet functional atmosphere, while maintaining a relaxed lifestyle. Paneled walls provide a neutral foundation, their rich textures complementing the predominantly blue tones in the furniture, ceiling, and windows. A few wood elements and accent lighting add warmth to the space.”

Room Name: Bathroom “Renewal | Recharge | Reboot” Architecture: DLP Architecture Product: Cage Chandelier

«The spatial concept is expressed in these words, aiming to guide visitors to wash their hands (renewal) upon entering the space. After the washbasin, they can enter the rest area to relax, recharge, and continue their journey (reboot) – echoing the present moment, a moment of renewal.

The project is dominated by neutral tones, black and white (using different shades and textures), with green accents on the walls and wood-grain panels adding warmth and a personalized touch.»

CASACOR San Paolo

Space Name: Alameda das Artes | Architect: Luciano Zanardo | Products: Hummer Skewer, Century Wall Lamp, Montagne, and Elegance Rail Spotlights

«The architect transformed the space into a true work of art, cleverly integrating sculpted plants and works by numerous renowned artists.» – National Association of Artists

This 232-square-meter space, named Alameda das Artes, features minimalism and creates a unique atmosphere through the clever arrangement of plants: tropical plants… Adam’s rib and exotic elephant foot grass. «Besides being robust and easy to care for, they also possess a strong sculptural quality, creating a contemplative space.»

Room Name: Does | Designer: Gabriela de Matos | Products: Hasta Trio pendant lamp, Cage pendant lamp, and Spot Elegance spotlight

«Agô» was designed by Gabriela de Matos. This Yoruba word, meaning «request for permission» or «permission,» is the inspiration architect Gabriela de Matos used to name this 45-square-meter reception room. «It infuses this residence with the perspective of Afro-Brazilians and Indigenous peoples, where the boundaries are not defined by walls, but by relationships with the surrounding environment, with oneself, and with those around one,» the architect said, thanking architect Felipe and Bloom, consultant Paula Motta, and artist and sister Maré de Matos for their collaboration. A terracotta bench made by local artisans sits in the center of the residence, representing an ancient and traditional craft.

“A contemplative environment fostering interaction is created within the landscape of Goiás in 2021. The artist duo begins the exhibition journey with a stunning Cobogó painting, guiding visitors along a curved staircase in varying fulget hues to the ticket office.”

CASACOOR Holy Spirit

Location: Plaça Helmut | Photographers: Ivan Aguiar and Heliomar Venâncio | Products: “Oka Cube” chandelier and “Century Wing” wall lamp

“Plaza Helmut was designed by architects Ivan Aguiar and Heliomar Venâncio…” The design features numerous green recreational areas illuminated by photovoltaic panels.

The nearly 500-square-meter area is connected by a nearly 70-meter-long, chocolate-brown, curved sculpture. The highlight is the stone bench: it stands silently atop a massive boulder weighing one ton.Space Name: Couple’s Suite | Architect: Renata Tristão Architecture | Products: Gota Duo Chandelier, Pearl Table Lamp, and Elegance Due Wall Lamp

“Architect Renata Tristão aimed to create a private, warm, and vibrant atmosphere in this couple’s suite. Balance was key.

The project comprises three complementary areas: a bathroom, bedroom, and balcony. The color scheme is predominantly gray, a neutral color that conveys stability, composure, and elegance.

Highlights are subtly showcased through wood elements, natural stone, and light reflection.”

Space Name: Showa | Architect: DB Architects | Products: Hasta Recta 1M, Century Twin Wall Lamp, Pérola Table Lamp, and Aramis Table Lamp

“The Showa Apartment was designed by David Bastos, one of Brazil’s most renowned architects. As part of CASACOR Editions…” This architect, a long-time partner, is participating in the Espírito Santo canton exhibition for the first time.

In this 160-square-meter apartment, sustainably sourced wood is used throughout the living spaces, perfectly complementing the family’s love of cooking and pursuit of a comfortable home life.

Characteristic details in the project, such as the dining table, stone benches, and metal kitchen, give the rooms a unique personality and emphasize the essence of the architecture. Each room is designed with the needs of a family with three children (including twins) in mind.

“The warm and comfortable atmosphere, exquisite details, and evolving family lifestyles inspired the design of this project, perfectly blending work and leisure. João’s office features neutral tones, spotlights, natural textures, and geometric shapes. In addition to desks, the space is furnished with furniture by Brazilian designers, creating a relaxed and comfortable reading atmosphere, also suitable for social gatherings.”

“Ingresso Living’s design is inspired by the needs of our ‘new era’ of social distancing, offering a spacious, welcoming, and multifunctional space. It’s the ideal place to gather with family, watch movies, enjoy wine, cook, study, and work. All of this can take place in a bright, friendly, and comfortable atmosphere, while also appreciating the natural beauty.”

Room Name: Serra Refuge | Designers: Cypriana Pinheiro and Anchella Lopes | Product: Arandela Centery Pendant Light “Mountains and Nature”

“The Serra Refúgio da Serra loft embodies the concept of ‘the original home,’ conveying the warmth of rural life and cleverly blending with the diverse environment. The interior design concept stems from their experience in mountainous projects. Cypriana has worked in the region since the 1990s, focusing on residential architecture, while Anchella has 15 years of experience in architecture and interior design.”
