The family living here consists of four members: mother, father, a five-year-old child and an «on the way» newborn. The apartment is located in a new condominium near the French Quarter and was purchased «in white», with Delta Studio finishes already installed: parquet, tiles, bathroom finishes, doors.
When they turned to Delta Studio’s architectural firm, the couple had already purchased some furniture and wanted to complete the setup with customized elements and decorations. The style they wanted was modern with small classic accents.
“When the project was taken over, parquet and tiles had already been installed in the apartment, and the walls were painted white. The family wanted to complete the entrance, living room, dining room, master bedroom and guest bedroom,” says architect Ioana Birtea of Delta Studio Design, who oversaw the project.
The architect proposed new storage spaces, necessary for the growing family, more welcoming finishes and elements to personalize the space: small furniture, curtains, lighting fixtures and decorations.
.
Ioana proposed containers, essential in every corridor, and replaced the tiles with triple-layer Karelian parquet in the living room, thus ensuring continuity between the spaces.
The chest of drawers is Formmat, produced in Romania, in the Piatra Neamț factory, in matt painted MDF, RAL 7002. It has customized containers for long clothes, short dresses, shelves for clothes, shoes and drawers.
The hall cupboard is ceiling-high to make the most of the space and has a bench area in the centre. The doors have hidden handles, a detail that reflects the grandeur of the bodywork. The gray walls create a warmer atmosphere than the previous white ones
The living room now includes an elegant fireplace
In the living area, the architect kept the two existing gray sofas and added custom-made furniture.
The bookcase and other Formmat containers are made of matt painted MDF and light veneer for greater resistance. The furniture has both visible and hidden containers, and the wall with the TV is characterized by four 45×120 cm Persia majolica tiles by Porcelanosa, with a white marble look and golden veins.
Combined with the wood and gold accents in the rest of the room, the marble transforms the space into a precious and elegant space. The lighting fixture is by Nova Luce, a simple but effective presence. The circles that compose it can be found in the decorations of the dining room and in the tops of the Planet coffee table by Bontempi.
On the opposite side of the TV, Ioana has created a relaxation area, with a fireplace from Hombee – an extremely warm piece in a composition.
In the dining area the architect kept all the existing furniture (the table and eight upholstered chairs), but the environment is transformed with the help of light: the suspended body of Nova Luce reflects an intense light.
For the wall with the console, Ioana proposed a decorative paint with a concrete and marble effect, a shade that is also found in the carpet.
Both bedrooms retain the existing beds
In the master bedroom, the accent element is a decorative panel made to order by the Formmat brand, in light veneer. It is an original presence that gives the space a zen air.

The gaps between the tiles are covered with golden profiles, which add a touch of elegance, enhanced by the bedside tables (actually two tables with metal legs) and the Ovvio suspension lamps by Nova Luce.
In the right corner of the entryway, she kept the makeup table and replaced the shelf with a sleeker one to store more space.
The armchair and coffee table from the British brand Gallery create an additional seating area and the emerald green velvet curtain provides a color accent.
In front of the bed he installed a TV cabinet with a glossy green MDF front and an atypical shelf. The area is framed by light veneer slats and is covered with the same marble-imitating tile as the living room. The bedroom walls are painted a warm gray to ensure privacy in the sleeping area.
The guest bedroom is completed by a generous Formmat dressing room, made of ICA 0119 matt painted MDF with hollow (hidden) handles. It can store all kinds of clothing all year round.
The pendant lamp by Nova Luce and the photographic wallpaper by Wall&Deco in front of the bed personalize the space.
“The resulting style is eclectic and the concept revolves around colors and storage,” explains Ioana.
The family was very satisfied with Delta Studio Design’s proposals and the apartment is now being set up. We’ll be back soon with photos!
