The beneficiaries wanted the most efficient space possible for each family member, with a modern design and as many hidden spaces as possible, with spacious bedrooms, open plan living room, but also a kitchen designed in accordance with the dining area.
The layout was created from scratch, being «grey» at the beginning of the project, so combining the elements was an easy step: the ground floor includes the living area, while the first floor is dedicated exclusively to the sleeping area, providing generous technical space.
It all started from the beneficiaries’ need to have as many storage spaces as possible. The integration of the functions necessary for the family was satisfied through the furniture, and the generous storage elements required in as many as possible do not visually suffocate the rooms.
How are the children’s rooms
The challenge of this arrangement consisted in creating the bedrooms for the little ones. The space had to be thought of as double, so that it included wardrobes, desk, play space, but did not feel busy.

Girls’ bedrooms are designed in the most elegant way freshin line with the rest of the rooms, but outlines an imaginary and fairy-tale world for the little ones, using bright colours. The predominant colors are sky blue for boys and pastel pink for girls. The resulting colors create an atmosphere full of joy, enthusiasm, courage and optimism.
The bathroom shared by the children’s bedrooms exudes a playful and energetic air thanks to the Kerama Marazzi – Scale White tiles, applied dynamically to the wall, and the Kerama Marazzi – Arsenalle Gray tiles. The Ravak bathtub brings a playful touch to the space.
Nature in the master bedroom and living room
The master bedroom, together with the dressing room and the bathroom, proposes a temperate contrast between the white of the simple furniture and the fresh green of the decorative elements: the wallpaper, the curtains and the carpet. The lighting fixtures complete the relaxing atmosphere with a touch of elegance.
Continuing the sleeping area is the bathroom area. It is finished with light colored ceramic tiles, color accents are given by the furniture. The bathtub and freestanding sinks complete the elegant setting of the bathroom. The bathroom is completed with Keramyth tiles and coverings – Stone Gray and Natural KT White.
The living room has a balanced and airy appearance thanks to the chosen color palette. All furniture is carefully placed in key points of the room, so that the space invites relaxation, from any angle. The alternation between full and empty spaces creates a dynamic effect, lighting fixtures and small decorative details complete the atmosphere welcoming of the room. The living room is the beneficiaries’ favorite place and they spend most of the day here.
The kitchen is characterized by straight and simple lines, the furniture has typical openings by pressure or hidden handles. The furniture is white with emerald green accents for added elegance. The worktop is a generous L-shaped top, in a concrete gray colour, and all the appliances are incorporated, to create a unified whole. Instead of classic tiling, they opted for a heat-resistant black glass cladding with bright color accents. The tiles are Salvetti Brown by Kerama Marazzi and the sink is by Franke.
The bathroom on the ground floor is finished with ceramic tiles that reproduce the texture of wood and concrete: the hot-cold combination outlines a modern and welcoming environment. In the bathroom he opted for freestanding sanitary fixtures and a shower cabin covered in Wood Deck Dark mosaic by Keramyth, which gives the room an elegant touch.
In the entrance corridor of the house, which connects the two levels, but also between the rooms on the ground floor, vertically designed containment spaces have been created to save space. The bench and coat hanger integrated into the furniture have a practical role. The hall was highlighted by the irregular combination of ceramic hexagons with white parquet and Kerama Marazzi – Poitou tiles. To visually increase the width of the corridor, a mirror was placed in front of the furniture set.
The architect’s advice: I recommend the use of carefully placed elements that unite the space and will totally change the perception of the room. Surely a coffee table, a warm colored carpet or the placement of some decoration will visually improve the final design.
